OmniNet was founded in 1998 as a managed IT services company. The company has been a true value-added reseller having skilled and certified engineers working alongside knowledgeable salespeople. OmniNet offers future-proof solutions by designing, consolidating and securing hyperconverged systems in any type of IT infrastructure: on-premises or on the cloud.
OmniNet’s clients previously used non-redundant storage systems that experienced hardware compatibility issues and could not run virtual or hyperconverged solutions. Some of them chose cloud services, however this raised issues with cost and usability. OmniNet had faced rising demands for virtualized storage which is stable, scalable, and could be located in safe datacenters.
After evaluating many virtual appliances, OmniNet found QuTScloud – a solution based on QNAP’s QTS NAS operating system. They launched 2 instances of 4-core QuTScloud with VMware vSphere on redundant full-flash servers. Storage volumes were based on redundant Enterprise SATA datastores located in France and Germany (managed by OVHcloud). Each instance has a dedicated 1 Gbps link over the public internet and a dedicated 3 Gbps Layer 2 private link to other datacenters. When OmniNet tested Qsync and Hybrid Backup Sync, Tullio remarked: “We were impressed about the speed!”
Tullio is convinced that QuTScloud is an affordable, space-saving, and flexible solution for SMBs. Users can enjoy various rich applications via QuTScloud’s user-friendly interface. Flexible license pricing also makes them easier to start. When Tullio demonstrated QuTScloud to clients, they immediately saw the power and potential that QuTScloud could provide them. OmniNet has already gathered new leads and business opportunities, with Tullio expecting their business to expand by 10% in the coming year.
